Every car in Ulaanbaatar is a taxi. Nevertheless, there are a few professional taxi companies established in Ulaanbaatar. Taxi fare is MNT 800 per km. If you need to rent a car for a few days, either to stay in the city or to get out in the countryside, car rental agencies are available. Also local tourist companies can provide vehicles such as Japanese jeeps, coaches, minibuses, and saloon cars with drivers.
