The Playtime, annual live music festival, will take place on June 27 and 28, at the Mongol Shiltgeen venue in Gachuurt.
The festival is being held as part of the Friendly Ulaanbaatar Program of the Mayor, and aims at promote contemporary music culture in Ulaanbaatar, bring together established and emerging performing artists to contribute to young people’s musical education.
This year, prominent and emerging Mongolian performers such as Niciton, Nisvanis, the Lemons, Mohanik, the Colors and Rec On will perform at the festival. Foreign bands and artists including Pains of Being Pure at Heart and SSighborggg from the USA, and Yesun Erdene from Inner Mongolia will also participate in the festival. The performances will be held on three stages.
The Playtime Festival organizers also announced to hold a special event named “REPLY”, dedicated to waste management issues during the festival. The event will encourage people to clean their environment through a series of activities at stations “Play Art”, “Play Kids” and “Play Merchandise”.
As part of the festival program, short films by Mongolian filmmakers will also be screened. Further information about the festival can be found at their website www.playtime.mn.
